Eli Gras grew up in a big family in the Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona, Spain. When she was young, in 1982, she helped start an experimental music group called Etnia. She played with them until 1989. During the 1980s, she worked with many musicians from different styles. These styles included experimental, electropop, and minimalism.
In the 1990s, Eli Gras began performing her own solo concerts. She also kept working with other musicians. In the mid-1990s, she co-founded the Obmuz Trio.
La Olla Expréss and Festivals
In 2002, Eli Gras started La Olla Expréss. This is a cultural group that publishes books and music CDs in unique ways. Eli Gras has also taken part in many experimental music festivals across Europe. Some of these include Worldtronics, Imaxinasons, and Sónar. In 2007, she founded her own festival called NoNoLogic. She is still the director and coordinator of this festival today.

Eli Gras's Music Style
Eli Gras's music mixes improvisation with planned songs. These songs can be instrumental or sung. She focuses on words and melodies that have strong feelings. She uses unusual instruments like toys and specially prepared guitars. She also plays regular instruments such as electric bass, small electronic keyboards, and flutes.
