Elisabeth Gunilla Andreassen (born 28 March 1958), also known as Bettan, is a famous Norwegian-Swedish singer. She is well-known for her success in the Eurovision Song Contest, where she has won once and placed second another time.

A Star is Born: Early Career
Elisabeth's singing talent was first noticed in 1979 by Swedish musician Lasse Holm. She soon joined Lasse's music group called Chips in 1980.
In 1982, Chips took part in the Eurovision Song Contest 1982 with their song "Dag efter dag" (which means "Day After Day"). They finished in 8th place.
Eurovision Success: Bobbysocks! and Beyond
Elisabeth Andreassen is famous for her many appearances in the Eurovision Song Contest. She holds a record for being one of the women with the most Eurovision participations, taking part four times!
Her biggest win came in 1985. She teamed up with Hanne Krogh to form the duo Bobbysocks. They represented Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 with their catchy song "La det swinge" ("Let it swing"). Bobbysocks won the contest, bringing home the trophy for Norway!
Elisabeth has also performed in Eurovision as a solo artist and in other duets:
- In 1994, she sang "Duett" with Jan Werner Danielsen for Norway, finishing 6th.
- In 1996, she performed "I evighet" ("Eternity") on her own for Norway, earning a fantastic 2nd place.

Elisabeth married Tor Andreassen in 1994 and took his last name. She continues to be a beloved singer and performer.
