Elizabeth Jane Caulfeild (born June 21, 1834 – died May 31, 1882) was an interesting and talented woman from Ireland. She was the only daughter of William Meredyth, who was known as Lord Athlumney. In December 1856, she married James Caulfeild, 3rd Earl of Charlemont. After her marriage, she became known as the Countess of Charlemont.

Her Life and Faith

Elizabeth Jane Caulfeild grew up as a Christian. However, she later chose to convert to Judaism. This was a very important decision in her life.
