In 1774, Elizabeth and Peter moved across the ocean to America. They settled in Charleston, South Carolina. They started a family there, having a son named Peter Albrecht von Hagen, Jr. around 1780. They later had a daughter and another son.
The family then moved to New York City and later to Boston in 1796. They were very busy! They taught music, wrote their own songs, published music for others, performed concerts, and even managed concerts. Elizabeth von Hagen passed away in Suffolk County, Massachusetts.
