Eliézio Santos Santana, often called simply Eliézio, is a professional football player from Brazil. He was born on March 31, 1987, in the city of Salvador, Bahia. Eliézio plays as a central defender, which means he helps protect his team's goal from opponents. He has played for many different clubs throughout his career, both in Brazil and in Japan.
Eliézio's Football Journey
Eliézio started his football journey in his youth, playing for Kanto Daiichi High School from 2002 to 2004. He then began his professional career in 2005 with Urawa Reds in Japan. After that, he returned to Brazil and played for several well-known clubs like Cruzeiro and Itumbiara.
He also had a short time playing in Portugal for Porto and União Leiria on loan. Eliézio has played for many teams in Brazil, moving between different states and leagues. Since 2018, he has been playing for Fukushima United FC in Japan.
