Ella Cruz's Acting Journey
Ella Cruz began her acting career in 2006 on GMA Network. Her very first project was a TV series called Majika. After that, she moved to another big network, ABS-CBN, in 2007.
Early Career and Network Changes
Ella moved between different TV networks during her early years. In 2009, she returned to GMA Network for shows like Panday Kids and Ilumina. She then went back to ABS-CBN to appear in Maalaala Mo Kaya, a popular drama anthology. She also had a short time with TV5 for a show called Inday Wanda. Eventually, she officially became a contract artist with ABS-CBN and Star Magic.
Breakthrough Roles in TV Series
Ella became widely recognized for playing the younger version of Cristine Reyes's character in the 2012 TV series Dahil sa Pag-ibig. She was often paired with Francis Magundayao in these roles. Her biggest role came when she starred as the main character in Aryana, where she played the first teen mermaid on Philippine television. She also took on a challenging role as a young mother in the series Bagito.

Ella also appeared in several shows on TV5, including #ParangNormal Activity. She played the role of Avah Chen in Wattpad Presents: Avah Maldita. She also worked as a host on the Sunday variety show Happy Truck HAPPinas. Her last appearance as part of the Kapamilya network (ABS-CBN) before becoming a freelancer was in Ipaglaban Mo in 2016.
In 2019, Ella returned to the Kapamilya network. She appeared as Lisa in the long-running action series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.

In 2017, Ella got her first main role in a movie called Fangirl, Fanboy. She starred alongside Julian Trono in this film. They also released a book together called Jump In, which shared stories and photos of their partnership.
In 2022, Ella was chosen to play Irene Marcos in the film Maid in Malacañang. This movie tells a story about the Marcos family before they left the Malacañang Palace in 1986. The film was directed by Darryl Yap and produced by Viva Films. She later reprised her role as Irene Marcos in the 2023 film Martyr or Murderer.

Ella has won several awards for her performances. In 2008, she won the Best Child Actress award at the 56th FAMAS Awards for her role in the movie Resiklo. She also won Best Film Child Performer at the 2nd Gawad Genio Awards for the same film. In 2019, she received the Best Supporting Actress award at the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival for her work in the movie Edward.
