Ella the Elephant is a fun Canadian animated TV show for young kids. It's based on books by Carmela D' Amico and Steven Henry. The show first aired in Canada on TVOKids on September 2, 2013. Later, it came to the United States on Disney Junior on February 17, 2014.
This series was made by DHX Cookie Jar Inc. with help from TVOKids, Disney Junior, and FremantleMedia Kids and Family Entertainment. The animation was done by Atomic Cartoons.

What is Ella the Elephant About?
The show follows the exciting adventures of Ella and her friends on Elephant Island. Ella is a lively elephant girl with a huge heart and a big imagination. She has a special magic hat that can turn into almost anything she needs!
Every day brings a new adventure for Ella and her friends: Frankie, Belinda, and Tiki. They often find themselves in tricky situations. But with a little bit of effort, teamwork, and a touch of magic, Ella and her friends always find a way to make things right.

Ella
- Ella (voiced by Addison Holley) is the main character. She's a young elephant who wears a red magic hat. Her grandma gave her this special hat. Ella is great at solving problems and is always kind to her friends. Her magic hat can change into different things to help her when she needs it most.
Belinda
- Belinda (voiced by Annick Obonsawin) is another elephant friend. Her dad is the mayor of Elephant Island! Belinda loves to dance and has a very stylish personality.
Tiki
- Tiki (voiced by Avery Kadish) is a super smart female elephant. She loves to read books and ride her bike. Tiki also has a pet monkey named Lola.
Frankie
- Frankie (voiced by Devan Cohen) is Ella's friend and the only boy in their main group. He's also a young elephant. Frankie's favorite saying is "Great Wolly Mammoth!"

- Mrs. Briggs (voiced by Helen Taylor) is the teacher for Ella and her friends. She enjoys interpretive dancing!
- Ada and Ida (voiced by Sophia Ewaniuk) are twin elephants. They often say things at the same time, then high-five and say "Jinx!" They love to sing.
- Captain Kelp (voiced by Neil Crone) is an elephant who works at the lighthouse.
- Mrs. Gray (voiced by Stacey DePass) is Ella's mom and a baker.
- Captain Seamus Grey (also voiced by Neil Crone) is Ella's dad, who is a sea captain.
- Mrs. Harriet Melba (voiced by Shoshana Sperling) is Frankie's mom. She owns a bakery.
- Mr. Mercer (voiced by Phil Williams) sells many different items. He can sometimes be a bit grumpy.
- Georgie (voiced by Jaxon Mercet) is Frankie's little brother.
- Mayor Jeremiah Blue (voiced by Danny Wells) is Belinda's dad and the mayor of Elephant Island.
- Grandma Grey (voiced by Catherine Disher) is Ella's grandma. She was the first owner of the magic hat! You can see her in the episode "Grandma's Visit."
- Jasper (voiced by Julie Lemieux) is a little mouse who sometimes causes playful trouble.
- E.L. Weathers (voiced by Alyson Court) is an elephant who writes books. She appears in "Tiki's Quest."
How Was the Show Made?
The show was created by DHX Cookie Jar Inc. for TVOKids and Disney Junior. Atomic Cartoons did the animation. FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment helped distribute the show around the world.
Work on the series began in 2012. People involved in making the show were very excited about bringing the "Ella the Elephant" books to life.
