Elna was once a small place in Inyo County, California. It is no longer there today. It was located along the Southern Pacific Railroad line. This spot was about 6.5 miles (10.5 km) southeast of a town called Big Pine. Elna was quite high up, at an elevation of 3878 feet (1182 meters) above sea level.

Elna was known as a "former settlement." This means it was once a place where people lived or worked, but it doesn't exist as a populated area anymore. Many small settlements like Elna grew up around important things like railroads.
