Early Life and Film Beginnings
Learning and First Film
Elvire Adjamonsi grew up in Benin. She studied Visual communication at the Pan African Institute for Development (IPD) in Burkina Faso. Soon after her studies, she made her first documentary film. This film was called De l'eau toute l'année (Water All Year). It was 26 minutes long and showed how mini-dams work in Burkina Faso.
Award-Winning Script
Elvire also wrote a script named "BIDOSSESSI". This script won second place in a competition called APROMEDIA. In 2004, her script was chosen for a special writing workshop. This workshop, called Sud Ecriture, took place in Morocco and Tunisia. It helped writers develop their stories.
Short Films and Documentaries
In 2010, Elvire wrote her first short film, La Maudite (The Accursed). This film was shown at the first Francophone Film Festival in Atakpamé (Togo). She then made another short film called Cica la petite Sorcière (Cica the Little Witch). Elvire also created a documentary film named TOLEGBA. This film was about a special god from Benin. Even though some people thought of this god as a demon, he was believed to protect people.
