Encino (pronounced en-SEE-noh) is a small community in Brooks County, Texas, United States. It is called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it is an area that the census bureau tracks for information, but it does not have its own city government.
Encino is located about 18 miles south of Falfurrias, which is the main town in Brooks County. In 2020, the population of Encino was 109 people. The community is also home to a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint.

Encino is located in southern Brooks County, Texas. You can find it along U.S. Highway 281. This highway is also known as Future Interstate 69C.
The community is about 18 miles south of Falfurrias. The United States Census Bureau says that Encino covers a total area of 17.3 square kilometers (about 6.7 square miles). All of this area is land, with no water.
