Endre Süli was born on June 21, 1956, in what was then Yugoslavia. He grew up in the city of Subotica. He is a citizen of both Britain and Serbia. He is also of Hungarian background.
Education and Early Career
Professor Süli earned his first degrees, including a PhD, from the University of Belgrade. He then continued his studies at the University of Oxford, where he received his MA degree. He started teaching at the University of Belgrade in 1978. In 1985, he moved to the University of Oxford, where he has been working ever since.
