Enikő Bollobás, born on June 19, 1952, in Budapest, Hungary, is a well-known Hungarian expert in literature. She is a professor at the School of English and American Studies of the Faculty of Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest. She is also a special member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

Life and Work

Enikő Bollobás has written seven books about literature. She has also published many articles on culture and important topics. She studied at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). Since 1990, she has worked there as a professor. She helped start the Department of American Studies with two friends.

She has been a visiting professor and scholar in the United States many times. She has taught at places like the University of Oregon, University of Iowa, and University of California, San Diego. She has also given talks at famous universities. These include Cambridge University in England, Yale, Berkeley, Stanford, Georgetown, and George Washington University.

After the government changed, Ms. Bollobás worked in public service. She was a high-ranking diplomat at the Hungarian Embassy in Washington, D.C. She also led a department in the Hungarian Foreign Ministry in Budapest. This department handled relations with countries like the U.S. and Israel.

From 1992 to 1996, she was a leader in the Hungarian Atlantic Council. This group worked to help Hungary join NATO.
