Ensign is a very small community, known as a hamlet, located in southern Alberta, Canada. It is part of Vulcan County. Think of a hamlet as a tiny village, often without its own local government.

The community got its name from the Canadian Red Ensign. This was a flag that was used in Canada for a long time.
