Entrapta's Adventures on TV
Entrapta has appeared in different versions of the She-Ra story. She is always a very smart character who loves technology.
Entrapta in the 1980s Show
In the classic She-Ra: Princess of Power show, Entrapta works for the evil Horde. She is their main technician and often helps Catra.
Entrapta is a very skilled inventor. She designed many advanced machines for the Horde. These machines helped them fight against the Great Rebellion. Her special talent was creating clever traps and powerful weapons.
Entrapta in the Newer Series (2018-2020)
The show She-Ra and the Princesses of Power gave Entrapta a new story. In this version, her hair is purple instead of pink. She can also control her long hair with her mind. She uses it like extra arms to fight or to work with her machines.
The show's creator, Noelle Stevenson, said that Entrapta was written to be autistic. Entrapta is shown as a brilliant but sometimes careless inventor. She is also the princess of Dryl.
Her Love for Technology
Entrapta loves to study robotics and ancient technology. She learns a lot about the old tech left by the First Ones on Etheria. Even with many failed experiments, she becomes one of the smartest people about this technology.
Joining the Horde
At first, Entrapta joins the Rebellion. But after a dangerous mission, she is left behind by the other princesses. Catra convinces her that her friends abandoned her on purpose. Because of this, Entrapta decides to join the Horde.
She creates very strong weapons for them. Entrapta also becomes close friends with Hordak, the leader of the Horde. They share a strong interest in technology. Hordak even tells her that he is a flawed clone. Entrapta loves things that are imperfect, so they form a true friendship.
Exile and Return
Entrapta and Hordak work together on a portal. This portal would bring more of the Horde to Etheria. But Entrapta refuses to activate it. Because of this, Catra sends her away to Beast Island. Catra then lies to Hordak, saying Entrapta betrayed him.
Even though she is exiled, Entrapta is happy on Beast Island. She finds lots of ancient technology there to study. Later, Adora and Bow come to rescue her. Entrapta doesn't want to leave at first. She likes the island's resources and still feels abandoned.
She-Ra then tells Entrapta that if she leaves, she can study their aircraft, which is also ancient technology. Entrapta agrees to help them escape. In the end, Entrapta returns to the Rebellion.
Saving Etheria
When the galactic Horde, led by Hordak's creator Horde Prime, arrives, Entrapta is key to stopping him. She helps foil his plan to use Etheria's inner superweapon to destroy the universe.
Hordak's strong feelings for Entrapta inspire him to fight against Horde Prime. They happily reunite after She-Ra defeats Horde Prime and disables the weapon.
This version of Entrapta has been very popular with critics.
