Linda Gary (born Linda Gary Dewoskin, November 4, 1944 – October 5, 1995) was an American actress. She was best known for her amazing voice work in many popular cartoons and movies. You might have heard her voice in shows like He-Man and the Masters of the Universe or She-Ra: Princess of Power. She brought many characters to life with her talent.

Acting in Movies and Radio
Linda Gary was mostly known for her voice acting. However, she also appeared in a few live-action movies. She was in Joyride To Nowhere (1977) with her husband, Charles Howerton. She also had a role in Cruising (1980) with actor Al Pacino. She also lent her voice to movies like Wolfen and Switch.
Linda also worked in radio. She played a character named Dr. Maura Cassidy on a radio show called Alien Worlds.

Starting Her Voice Career
When Linda lived in Rome with her husband, she started dubbing Italian movies into English. This means she would record English voices over the original Italian dialogue. After returning to the U.S. in 1974, she took voice acting classes. Her teacher was a famous voice actor named Daws Butler. Linda often said that Daws believed in her. She thanked him for helping her start her career.
Working with Hanna-Barbera
Linda Gary voiced many different characters for Hanna-Barbera cartoons. These included popular shows like Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo. She was also in an episode of The Smurfs. You could hear her voice in Top Cat and the Beverly Hills Cats and The Pirates of Dark Water. She also voiced Doctor Abby Sinian in Swat Kats: The Radical Squadron. In The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo, she voiced Queen Morbidia and Nekara.
ABC Weekend Specials
The ABC Weekend Special was a TV series that showed different stories. These stories were both live-action and animated. Linda Gary's voice was featured in several of these specials. Some of them included Scruffy and The Velveteen Rabbit.

Linda Gary passed away on October 5, 1995, at her home in North Hollywood, California. She was 50 years old.
