The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo is an animated TV show from America. It was made by Hanna-Barbera Productions. This show is the seventh part of the popular Scooby-Doo series.
It first aired on September 7, 1985, on ABC. The show ran for one season with 13 episodes. Each episode was about half an hour long. This series was special because, for the first time, the Scooby-Doo characters met real ghosts and monsters. In earlier shows, the "monsters" were usually just criminals in costumes.
After its first run, the show was shown again on channels like USA Network, Cartoon Network, and Boomerang. It is the shortest Scooby-Doo series with only 13 episodes. In 2019, a movie called Scooby-Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost was released. This movie finally showed the 13th ghost that was never seen in the original series. You can also watch all the episodes on streaming services like Boomerang and Tubi.

The Story of the 13 Ghosts
The show begins with a warning from a character named Vincent Van Ghoul. He says, "This is a warning to all living mortals, that whosoever opens this Chest of Demons will release 13 of the most terrifying ghosts upon of the face of the Earth!"
In the first episode, Daphne, Scooby, and Shaggy are flying to Honolulu. But their plane goes off course and lands in the Himalayas. Inside an old temple, Scooby and Shaggy are tricked. Two clumsy ghosts, Weerd and Bogel, make them open the Chest of Demons.
This magical chest holds 13 of the scariest and most powerful ghosts and demons. Only Scooby and Shaggy can put these ghosts back into the chest. So, they, along with Daphne, Scrappy-Doo, and a clever young boy named Flim Flam, start a big adventure. They travel all over the world to catch the ghosts before they cause too much trouble.
A helpful warlock named Vincent Van Ghoul joins them. He is based on and voiced by the famous actor Vincent Price. Vincent Van Ghoul talks to the gang using his crystal ball. He often uses magic to help them. The 13 escaped ghosts try to stop the gang from catching them. They often use Weerd and Bogel to help them.
