Esme & Roy is a fun animated TV show from the United States and Canada. It was created by Dustin Ferrer and Amy Steinberg. This show is made by Nelvana, an animation studio in Canada, and Sesame Workshop, the creators of Sesame Street. They work together with Corus Entertainment.

What is Esme & Roy?

The show is about a little girl named Esme and her best friend, a friendly monster named Roy. They have a special job: they are "Monster Sitters"! This means they help take care of all sorts of different creatures when their regular parents or guardians need a little break or some help. Esme and Roy are always ready to solve problems and make sure every monster kid has a great time.

Where and When Did It Start?

Esme & Roy first aired on August 18, 2018. In the United States, you could watch it on HBO. At the same time, viewers in Canada could watch it on Treehouse TV.

New Seasons and Channels

Good news for fans! On May 6, 2019, it was announced that the show would get a second season. Also, in Summer 2019, it was shared that the first season would start showing on PBS Kids Family Night. This happened on August 30 or 31, 2019, depending on where you lived. After that, it aired regularly on Saturday and Sunday mornings on the 24/7 PBS Kids Channel.

In September 2019, there was another big announcement. New episodes of the show would move from HBO to HBO Max. This change started with the second season. The second season is also expected to air on PBS Kids, but the exact date is not yet known.
