Millie Davis (born on December 6, 2006) is a talented Canadian actress. She is well-known for playing Ms. O, also called Big O, in the TV shows Odd Squad (on TVOKids/PBS Kids) and Riley in Dino Dana. Millie also played Summer in the movie Wonder and Gemma Hendrix in Orphan Black.
Millie was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for her role as Ms. O in Odd Squad: The Movie. This was for "Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Dramatic Program or Limited Series". She also won an award with the Odd Squad cast for "Best Young Ensemble in a TV Series" at the 2015 Joey Awards.
Early Life and Family
Millie Davis was born to Megan and Wayne Davis. She has an older brother named Drew, who is also an actor. Both Millie and Drew have appeared in the TV series Orphan Black. Their parents manage a theater group called Characters Theatre Troupe in Thornhill, Ontario.
Millie's Acting Career
Millie started acting very young. When she was just six months old in June 2007, she appeared in a commercial with her dad. She began getting TV roles before she even turned four years old.
Millie was only 7 years old when she started the first season of Odd Squad. By the third season, she was 13 and the only original cast member still on the show. Her character, Big O, got a new job and left the show in a season three episode. This happened partly because Millie began starring in new shows like The Parker Andersons and Amelia Parker.
In February 2023, when Millie was 16, she talked about balancing school and acting. She said it was a "trial and error process" but felt it helped her grow. Her advice to other young actors is that acting is "less of a hobby than it is a job." This means it takes a lot of hard work and dedication.
