Isidro Chávez Espinoza (born October 29, 1981), known to many as Espinoza Paz, is a famous Mexican singer, songwriter, and musician. He is well-known for his regional Mexican music. This style includes popular sounds like Sinaloan banda, norteño, mariachi, and even Mexican country music. He has been nominated for a Latin Grammy award!

Early Life and Music Journey

Espinoza Paz, whose real name is Isidro Chávez Espinoza, was born on October 29, 1981. He grew up in La Angostura, a small town in Sinaloa, Mexico. He started writing songs at a very young age. When he was just 11 years old, he wrote his first song for a girl he liked.

By the time he was 13, Espinoza Paz had already written 20 songs! Later, his father sent him money from the United States. With this money, he bought his first guitar and taught himself how to play it. This was the start of his amazing music career.

Rise to Fame

Espinoza Paz got his big break when he shared some of his songs with El Coyote. El Coyote is a very popular singer of Sinaloan banda music. He liked Espinoza's songs so much that he recorded three of them. These songs were "Besitos En El Cuello," "Prohibido," and "Para Impresionarte."

In 2006, Espinoza Paz met Martin Fabian, a well-known person in the music world. Martin saw how talented Espinoza was right away. They worked together on Espinoza's first album, called "Paz En Tu Corazón," which came out in 2007.

His first major album, "El Canta Autor del Pueblo," was released in 2008. It included popular songs like "El Celular" and "Amigo con Derechos." The song "El Proximo Viernes" from this album became a big hit. It reached number 14 on Billboard Magazine's "Hot Latin Tracks" chart.

Soon, Espinoza Paz was writing songs for many other famous regional Mexican artists. Some of these artists include Jenni Rivera, Julión Álvarez, and Calibre 50.

Album Successes

In 2010, he released the album "Del Rancho Para El Mundo." This album had the huge hit song "Al Diablo Lo Nuestro." It was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award and sold enough copies to be certified Gold.

In 2011, he released another Gold-selling album called "Canciones Que Duelen." This album quickly reached number one on the Billboard Latin Albums Chart. It featured the popular song "Para No Perderte." A special version of the album also came with a DVD of his live performances.

In 2012, Espinoza Paz released "Un Hombre Normal." This album was a collection of his biggest hits, along with new songs and remixes. The main song, "Un Hombre Normal," became a number one hit on the Latin Charts.

He also decided to record an album of mariachi songs with the group Mariachi Sol De Mexico. This album was released in 2016.

More recently, in the 2020s, Espinoza Paz has sung theme songs for Mexican TV shows called telenovelas. He sang "Mi Venganza" for La desalmada (2021) and "La Esperanza" for Tierra de esperanza (2023).

Taking a Break

In 2012, Espinoza Paz surprised his fans by saying he would retire from music. This decision came after some problems with his former manager. In early 2014, he changed music labels. During this time, his popularity went down a bit. Even though he released many new songs, he did not put out a full studio album until 2016.
