Etowah is found in the western part of Henderson County. It sits in the valley of the French Broad River. This river is a major waterway in the area.
Nearby Towns and Roads
Etowah shares its borders with a few other communities. To the north, you'll find the town of Mills River. To the northeast is the community of Horse Shoe. On its western side, Etowah borders Transylvania County.
U.S. Route 64 is an important road that goes through Etowah. If you travel east on this road, you will reach Hendersonville in about 8 miles (13 km). If you go southwest, you will arrive in Brevard after about 11 miles (18 km).
