Euel Walton Moore (born May 27, 1908 – died February 12, 1989) was a skilled baseball player. He was often called "Chief." Moore was a pitcher in Major League Baseball, which is the top level of professional baseball. He played for the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Giants.

Early Life and Baseball

Euel Moore was born in Reagan, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Chickasaw Nation, one of the Native American tribes.

Rising Through the Ranks

Before playing in Major League Baseball, Moore showed his talent in other leagues. In 1930, he played for the San Antonio Indians in the Texas League. During that year, he achieved something amazing: he pitched a no-hitter. A no-hitter is when a pitcher plays an entire game without allowing any opposing player to get a hit.
