Eugene Brave Rock is a talented Canadian actor and stuntman. He is a member of the Blood Tribe, part of the Blackfoot Nation. Eugene began his career as an actor. Later, he trained to become a stuntman. He appeared in many TV shows before getting a big role. His first major film role was playing Chief Napi in the movie Wonder Woman.

Eugene Brave Rock's Life Story
Eugene Brave Rock grew up on the Kainai Nation reserve in Alberta, Canada. He went to the Plains Indian Cultural Survival School in Calgary. There, he got his very first acting role in a play.
After school, he trained to be a stuntman. He even performed in the Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show at Disneyland Paris! When he returned to Calgary, Eugene worked on several TV shows. He was both a stuntman and an actor. He had smaller roles in shows like Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee and Hell on Wheels.
When the movie The Revenant was filmed in Alberta, Eugene and his brother helped train stunt performers. During this time, the people making Wonder Woman contacted him. They invited him to try out for a role. Even though Eugene wasn't sure about his audition, he got the part a month later!
In 2017, Eugene Brave Rock received a special honor. The Blood Tribe gave him a ceremonial headdress. This happened on June 8, 2017, at a ceremony. It is one of the highest honors in First Nations culture.
Eugene Brave Rock's Other Projects
In 2022, Eugene Brave Rock started The Oki Language Project. This project works to honor elders and protect the languages and cultures of Indigenous communities. These communities are found all across Turtle Island (North America).
The project has an advisory council with many famous Indigenous artists. These include director Chris Eyre, actor Kiowa Gordon, actor Zahn McClarnon, and actor Wes Studi. Singer Taboo is also part of the council.
The Oki Language Project also helps other Indigenous artists. It creates ways for them to share their work. Some of these artists are Karen Clarkson, Michael Horse, Nicholas Galanin, Cynthia Pinot, and Tony Abeyta.
Eugene Brave Rock is also a popular guest speaker. He has spoken at important places like the University of Pennsylvania. In 2019, he spoke about "Representation, Symbolization and Indigeneity." In 2020, he spoke at Princeton University about "The Arts of Anti-Racism and Social Justice." In 2023, he was a guest speaker at the Science Summit at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.
