Career in Television

Eugenio Martín Rubio began his television career in the 1960s. He was asked by TVE, Spain's main TV channel, to fill in for another weather presenter, Mariano Medina, when he was away. This was how he first appeared on screen.

By the end of the 1960s, he became a regular weather presenter. He appeared every night on the news program called Telediario. He was a familiar face to many families across Spain. He continued working until 1980, when he retired. After his retirement, José Antonio Maldonado took over his role.
