Eugster/Frismag AG is a company based in Amriswil, Switzerland. They are a special kind of manufacturer called an OEM. This means they make products for other well-known brands, instead of selling them under their own name.
Eugster/Frismag is famous for making home appliances, especially coffee machines. They produce about 20% of all Nestle coffee machines. They also make machines for other popular brands like Jura, Keurig, Melitta, and Moulinex. Each year, they produce around 5 million coffee machines! This makes them one of the world's largest coffee machine makers, alongside Saeco.
The company has three main locations in Switzerland, where about 1,600 people work. They also have a factory in Portugal with 500 employees. Some parts are even made in China through a special partnership called a joint venture. Eugster/Frismag is a family-owned business. In 2018, they had over 3,000 employees and made 583 million Swiss francs in sales.

How the Company Started
In 1976, a person named Arthur Eugster began making small electric home appliances. These included things like egg cookers and waffle irons.
Founding Frismag AG
Two years later, in 1978, Arthur Eugster and his brother Markus started a company called Frismag AG in Amriswil. This new company began making coffee machines.
Early Success and Growth
A big moment for the company came in 1984. They created a simple and affordable espresso machine that became very popular in the United States. This helped them become well-known.
In 1989, they opened a new factory in Portugal. This factory helped them put together automatic coffee machines. In the early 1990s, Eugster/Frismag opened even more production places in Switzerland.
New Machines and Mergers
In 1994, they launched their very first fully automatic coffee machine. This was a big step forward!
In 1995, the different companies that Arthur and Markus had started joined together. They formed the Eugster/Frismag AG we know today. The main office for the group moved to Romanshorn.
International Partnerships
In 1997, Eugster/Frismag started working with a partner in China. They produced drip brew coffee machines there. Later, in 2005, this partnership became a joint venture company.
