Evaldo Silva dos Santos (born on January 4, 1983), known simply as Evaldo, is a former professional football player from Brazil. He played as a central defender, which means his main job was to stop the opposing team from scoring goals.

Evaldo's Football Journey

Evaldo started his football career in 2003 with the youth team of Portuguesa-SP. He quickly moved up to play for professional clubs.

Early Career in Brazil

In 2004, Evaldo joined São Caetano. He played 18 games for them. The next year, he went on loan to América-SP and then played for Marília, where he scored his first goal.

In 2006, Evaldo played for Vila Nova-GO. Later that year, he was loaned to Grêmio, a very well-known Brazilian club. He played 26 games for Grêmio and scored 3 goals, which is good for a defender!

Playing Abroad and Back Home

From 2007 to 2009, Evaldo was part of the Japanese club FC Tokyo. During this time, he also had loan spells back in Brazil. In 2008, he played for Santos, another famous Brazilian team. He then joined Coritiba on loan, scoring one goal for them.

After his time in Japan, Evaldo continued to play for various clubs in Brazil. He played for Bahia and Ponte Preta in 2009. In 2010, he played for Criciúma, and in 2011, he was with Novo Hamburgo.

Later Career and Achievements

In 2012, Evaldo played for Murici. He then had an interesting experience playing for Tarxien Rainbows in Malta from 2012 to 2013, where he scored 5 goals in 11 games.

He returned to Brazil to play for Villa Nova-MG and Brasil de Pelotas. In 2014, he also played for Selangor FA in Malaysia. Evaldo continued his career, playing for Mamoré in 2015 and returning to Brasil de Pelotas from 2016 to 2017. His last known clubs were Joinville and Montes Claros in 2018, and CRAC in 2019.
