Fabián Roncero Domínguez was born on October 19, 1970, in Madrid, Spain. He is a former long-distance runner. Fabián competed in different types of running races. These included races on a track, across open fields (cross country), and on roads.
He is famous for his amazing time in the half marathon. In 2001, he ran it in 59 minutes and 52 seconds. This was a European record for 14 years! It is still the Spanish record for that distance. He also holds Spanish records for the 10,000 metres race. His time was 27 minutes and 14.44 seconds. He also set records for 15 km, 20 km, and 30 km distances on the road.
Fabián represented Spain three times at the World Championships in Athletics. In 1997, he finished sixth in the marathon. In 2001, he came in fifth place in the 10,000 metres. He also competed in the 1995 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships.

Fabián was a top runner in many international events. He competed in the IAAF World Cross Country Championships four times. His best finish was tenth place in 1998.
He also won a bronze medal at the 2002 European Cross Country Championships. This helped the Spanish men's team win the gold medal! He also helped his team win bronze in 1998. In 2003, his team won a silver medal.

Fabián had great success in road marathons. In 1996, he won the Italian Marathon. His winning time was 2 hours, 9 minutes, and 43 seconds.
In 1998, he won the Rotterdam Marathon. This was his fastest marathon ever! He finished in 2 hours, 7 minutes, and 26 seconds. As of 2014, he was the last European man to win the Rotterdam Marathon.
