Early Life and Education
Faia Younan was born in Al-Hasakah, Syria, and grew up in Aleppo. When she was eleven, her family moved to Sweden. Later, in 2010, she moved to Scotland to study at the Glasgow University. There, she learned about Social Sciences, which includes subjects like how societies work, economics (how money and goods are made and used), and business. After finishing her studies, she moved back to Sweden. Faia also spent time helping others as a volunteer for the Swedish Red Cross and sang at local events.
Music Career
Faia Younan's music journey really took off in October 2014. She and her sister Rihan made a video called "To Our Countries." This video talked about the situation in Syria and other Arab countries. Faia sang songs by the famous Lebanese singer Fairuz in the video. It became very popular online, which encouraged Faia to become a full-time singer.
Crowdfunding Success
After her video went viral, Faia decided to try something new. She used crowdfunding to get money for her first song, "Ohebbou Yadayka" (which means "I Love Your Hands"). This was a big success! Because of this, Faia Younan and her manager, Houssam Abdul Khalek, were recognized by Guinness World Records. She became the first Middle Eastern artist to crowdfund her first song, and the first female artist from the Arab world to enter the Guinness World Records book.

In 2017, Faia released her first album, named A Sea Between Us. She also worked with the virtual band Gorillaz on a song called "Busted and Blue." In March 2019, Faia released her second album, Tales of the Heart. This album has eight songs, and each one tells a different story with its own unique musical style.
