Falls View is a small community in Fayette County, West Virginia, United States. It's known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that the government counts for population, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.
Falls View is located about 4 miles (6.4 km) southwest of Gauley Bridge. You can find it on the north side of the Kanawha River. In 2010, the population of Falls View was 238 people.
This community started in the early 1900s. It was built as a place for managers from the Electro Metallurgical Co. to live. This company was part of the Union Carbide and Carbon Corporation. Electro Metallurgical had four plants nearby that made ferroalloys. Ferroalloys are special metals used to make steel stronger. These plants got their power from hydroelectricity, which is electricity made using water power, from a dam at Kanawha Falls.
