Many famous people have visited the Falls of Falloch over the years. In the early 1800s, Dorothy Wordsworth came here. She was the sister of the famous poet William Wordsworth. They were on a well-known trip around Scotland with another poet, Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

Dorothy and other artists loved the view of these falls. They found the scenery very inspiring.

Rob Roy's Bathtub

Below the waterfall, there's a huge pool of water. This pool is famously known as "Rob Roy's Bathtub." Rob Roy was a legendary Scottish folk hero.

Interestingly, a Scottish mountaineer named W. H. Murray almost drowned in this very pool. He accidentally fell into the Falloch River upstream from the waterfall.

The Woven Sound Viewpoint

To help visitors enjoy the falls safely, a special viewing platform was built in 2013. It's called the Woven Sound. This platform allows people to see the waterfall up close without disturbing the natural beauty around it.
