History of Farmersburg
Farmersburg was first started in 1853. Back then, it had a different name: Ascension.
A post office opened in 1855 under the name Ascension. In 1882, the town's name changed to Farmersburg. The post office is still open today.

Farmersburg is located at 39°15′12″N 87°22′53″W / 39.25333°N 87.38139°W. This means it is in the northern part of Sullivan County.
