Fernando Henrique Mariano, often known simply as Fernando, is a talented Brazilian football player. He was born on April 3, 1967. Fernando played as a Midfielder, helping his teams control the game from the middle of the field. He had a long and interesting career playing for many different clubs in Brazil and even in Japan.

Fernando's Football Journey

Fernando started his professional football career in Brazil in the late 1980s. He played for several Brazilian clubs, showing his skills as a midfielder.

Early Career in Brazil

Fernando began playing professionally in 1986 with Uberlândia. He then moved to Mogi Mirim and later to Portuguesa Desportos in 1993. After that, he joined Guarani for two seasons, from 1994 to 1995. From 1996 to 1998, he played for Internacional, where he scored 4 goals in 9 games during his last year with the team.

Playing in Japan

In 1998, Fernando moved to Japan to play for Avispa Fukuoka. He spent two seasons there, from 1998 to 1999. During his time in Japan, he played 51 league games and scored 14 goals. He also played in the Emperor's Cup and the J.League Cup, showing his versatility.

Return to Brazil

After his time in Japan, Fernando returned to Brazil. He played for Palmeiras from 2000 to 2001. He then joined Juventude in 2002. From 2003 to 2004, he played for Botafogo, where he scored one goal in 32 games during the 2003 season.

Later Career and Retirement

Fernando continued his career with Santo André in 2005. He then played for Marília from 2006 to 2007. He finished his playing career back at Santo André, where he played from 2007 to 2009. Throughout his career, Fernando played in over 300 league games, scoring more than 20 goals.

Awards and Recognition

Fernando's talent was recognized during his career. In 1997, he received the award. This award is given to the best players in the Brazilian league, showing he was one of the top midfielders of his time.
