It was built using parts from another Fiat car, the Fiat Bravo.
What Powers the Multipla?
The Fiat Multipla had different types of engines during its production years. An engine is like the heart of a car; it makes the car move! Fiat offered both petrol and diesel engines for the Multipla.
- Petrol Engine:
- The 1.6 16V engine had 103 horsepower. This engine used petrol to power the car.
- Diesel Engines:
- The 1.9 JTD engine came in a few versions, with 105, 110, or 115 horsepower. These engines used diesel fuel.
- Later, a more powerful 1.9 Multijet diesel engine was available, which had 120 horsepower.
These different engine options gave drivers choices depending on how much power they needed for their journeys.
