Fierville-Bray was a small village, also known as a commune, located in the Calvados area of northwestern France. This area is part of the Normandy region. A commune is like a local government area, similar to a town or parish.
On January 1, 2017, Fierville-Bray joined with other nearby communes to form a new, larger commune called Valambray. This means Fierville-Bray no longer exists as a separate commune.
Where Was Fierville-Bray?
Fierville-Bray was situated in the Calvados department. A department in France is similar to a county in other countries. The Calvados department is known for its beautiful countryside and historical sites, especially those related to World War II.
The village was also part of the larger Normandy region. Normandy is famous for its rich history, including the D-Day landings, and its delicious local products like cheese and cider.

Becoming Part of Valambray
The decision to merge Fierville-Bray into Valambray was part of a larger trend in France. Many small communes are joining together to create larger, more efficient administrative areas. This helps them share resources and manage services better for their residents. Even though Fierville-Bray is now part of Valambray, its history and identity remain an important part of the new commune.
