Filippa Reinfeldt (born Filippa Holmberg on June 14, 1967) is a Swedish politician. She was in charge of health services for Stockholm County from 2006 to 2014. This job meant she looked after hospitals and social care. Before that, she was the mayor of Täby Municipality from 2005 to 2006. In 2019, she became a spokesperson for LGBT-issues for the Moderate Party.
Filippa Reinfeldt was married to Fredrik Reinfeldt, who used to be the Prime Minister of Sweden. They were married from 1992 until they divorced in 2013.
Early Life and First Steps in Politics
Filippa Holmberg was born on June 14, 1967. She grew up with her mother in Ålsten. When she was 13, she joined the Moderate Youth League. This is a group for young people interested in the Moderate Party.
She went to Bromma gymnasium, which is a type of high school, until 1986. After school, she started working with political groups. In 1990, she was chosen to be on the board of the Moderate Youth League. Later, she became the leader of the Moderate Youth League in Solna Municipality.
Political Career
Filippa Reinfeldt became a local leader in Täby Municipality in 2002. From 2005 to 2006, she was the mayor of Täby. This meant she was the main leader of the local government there.
She also held different roles in the Stockholm City Council from 1991 to 1994. From 1994, she was a councilor in the Stockholm County Council. This council makes decisions for the larger Stockholm area.
After the 2006 national election, Filippa Reinfeldt was re-elected as mayor in Täby. Her party, the Moderate Party, got more than half the votes in Täby. Soon after, she left this role. She became the County Commissioner of Health Services for Stockholm County. This was a very important job, overseeing healthcare for many people.
In 2014, she decided to leave politics. In December 2014, it was announced that she would join a private healthcare company called Aleris. She would help with business growth and public relations.
Family Life
Filippa Reinfeldt met her future husband, Fredrik Reinfeldt, in 1989. They were both involved in the Moderate Youth League. They got married in 1992.
In 2012, they announced they were separating. Their divorce was finalized in 2013. They have three children together.
