Flags of governors of the U.S. states facts for kids
Governors in sixteen U.S. states have their own special flags. These flags are officially called standards. The commonwealth of Puerto Rico also has a flag for its governor. These special flags are similar to the flags used by the President and Vice President of the United States. Most governor flags are designed using symbols from the state flag or the state's official seal or coat of arms.
