The Fletcher Covered Bridge is a special bridge in Harrison County, West Virginia. It is 62-foot (19 m) long. This bridge crosses Tenmile Creek. It uses a design called a Multiple King Post covered bridge. This means it has a strong wooden frame inside.

The stones for the bridge's base, called abutments, came from a nearby hill. Building the bridge originally cost $1,372. That was a lot of money back in 1891! The Fletcher Covered Bridge is still used by cars today. It is one of only two covered bridges left in Harrison County. The other one is the Simpson Creek Covered Bridge.

The Fletcher Covered Bridge is a historic landmark. It was built in 1891. This bridge is a great example of old-time engineering. It shows how people built things long ago.

How Was the Bridge Improved?

The Fletcher Covered Bridge has been carefully restored. A company called Allegheny Restoration and Builders, Inc. did the work. They had a contract worth $447,000 for this project. During the restoration, local traffic was rerouted. This allowed workers to replace old wooden parts. They also put on new siding and a new metal roof. These upgrades help keep the bridge strong and safe.
