A Look Back: Floraville's History

The land where Floraville now stands was first divided into smaller blocks in the 1920s. This happened at the same time as nearby areas like Belmont North and Jewells. However, most of the homes and buildings weren't built until the 1960s.

For a long time, a large part of the eastern side of Floraville was farmland. This land belonged to the Gatt family. Over the years, as more people wanted to live in Floraville, some of this farmland was used to build new houses.
