Florian Klein (born 17 November 1986) is an Austrian former professional footballer. He played as a defender.

Playing for Clubs
Florian Klein started his football journey in September 1994. He joined the youth team of LASK Linz in Austria. By July 2004, he was good enough to play for the senior team.
Early Career and Loans
During the 2003–04 season, Florian played on loan for FC Blau-Weiß Linz. This means he temporarily played for another team to gain experience. After that season, he returned to LASK Linz. He played 163 games for LASK, scoring 13 goals.
Moving to New Teams
On 30 April 2009, Florian signed a two-year contract with Austria Wien. He then moved to Red Bull Salzburg in 2012.
After his contract with Salzburg ended on 1 July 2014, Klein joined VfB Stuttgart in Germany. He signed a contract to play for them until June 2017. On 23 August 2017, he returned to Austria Wien.
Playing for His Country
Florian Klein also played for the Austrian national teams. He represented his country at different age levels.
Youth National Teams
He played for the Austria under-19 team. Later, he played for the Austria under-21 team. These teams help young players get ready for international football.
Senior National Team Debut
On 19 May 2010, Florian Klein played his first game for the senior Austria squad. This match was against Croatia. He also represented Austria at the 2016 UEFA Euro tournament.
