Fonz is in Spain, south of the big Pyrenees mountains. It is part of a region called the Middle Cinca. The towns closest to Fonz are Monzón and Barbastro.

A Look at Fonz's History
Fonz has a long history! Archaeologists have found old sites here. These sites show that people lived in Fonz during the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. Some of these ancient places are called Tozal of Gaya and Urría.

Fonz is full of amazing old buildings and history. Its main square was named an "Artistic Historical Monument" in 1976. There is also a beautiful old church.
You can find several interesting palaces scattered around the town. These include the Gómez Alba Palace, Casa Ric, and Casa Moner. A very important person, Pedro Cerbuna, was born in Casa Moner. He was the founder of the University of Zaragoza.

Fonz has some delicious local foods! You should try the pork croquettes and lamb ribs. For dessert, there is a pumpkin dish called pastillos. Muffins and the "roll of San Blas" are also popular. Fonz is also famous for its extra virgin olive oil, which is made right there.
