East Bench is a well-known area in Salt Lake City, Utah. It's mostly a place where people live, located right at the bottom of the Wasatch Range mountains. This area stretches west to about 1300 East, which is a major street in the city.

The northern part of East Bench is called Foothill. It gets its name from Foothill Drive, a main road that runs next to the mountains. This road helps connect Interstate 80 (a big highway) to the University of Utah and downtown Salt Lake City.

Exploring the East Bench Area

The East Bench has some interesting neighbors. To the north, you'll find the Federal Heights area. To the south, it's bordered by the Traverse Mountains. As you move from the west side of East Bench to the east, the homes tend to get bigger and more expensive.

East High School is a very important part of the area. It's famous because it was the high school featured in the Disney High School Musical movies!
