Fountain Lake is a small town in Garland County, Arkansas, in the United States. It is located next to Hot Springs Village. The town is part of the Hot Springs area. In 2010, about 503 people lived there.

Where is Fountain Lake?

Fountain Lake is in the eastern part of Garland County. The town covers about 11 square kilometers (4.25 square miles) of land. It is about 12 miles northeast of Hot Springs. Hot Springs Village is just north of Fountain Lake.

The town gets its name from an old resort that used to be nearby. This resort had a small lake with a pretty fountain. You can find the old resort property off Highway 7. It has a large entrance gate and a long, tree-lined road. The land is privately owned.

It's interesting to know that the old Fountain Lake resort, a shopping center called Fountain Lake Center, and the Fountain Lake School are actually not inside the town limits of Fountain Lake. The town's borders mainly follow Highway 5 for about 3 miles and Highway 128 for about 2 miles. Any property outside these roads is part of Garland County, not the town itself.
