Francisco (pronounced FRAN-sis-koh) is a small, quiet community in the northern part of Stokes County, North Carolina. It's not an official city or town, but rather an unincorporated area. This means it's a community that doesn't have its own local government.

Francisco is about 13 miles northwest of Danbury, which is the main town of Stokes County. It's also very close to the border with Virginia, less than three miles away. You can find Francisco right next to the Dan River, and it's located along North Carolina State Highway 89.

What You Can Find in Francisco

This small community has a few important places that serve its residents.

Community Services

  • A fire station run by volunteers helps keep everyone safe.
  • There's a place where people can drop off their trash and recycling. This helps keep the area clean.
