Frankfort is a small village in Ross County, Ohio, United States. It is located along the North Fork of Paint Creek. In 2020, about 1,084 people lived in Frankfort.

History of Frankfort

Frankfort has an interesting past! It was first known as Oldtown. This name was given when the village was started in 1816. A post office opened there in 1817. Later, in 1834, its name changed to Frankfort. The village officially became a village in 1827.
