Franklin and Friends is a fun children's television series. It was made using CGI animation. The show was produced by Nelvana in Canada and Singapore.

This series is based on the popular Franklin the Turtle books. These books were written by Paulette Bourgeois and drawn by Brenda Clark. Franklin and Friends is the second TV show about Franklin. The first show was simply called Franklin. The theme song for Franklin and Friends is a new version of the original show's song, "Hey It's Franklin". The show first aired on Treehouse TV in Canada on March 4, 2011.

Meet the Characters in Franklin and Friends

In Franklin and Friends, you'll see many familiar faces. Of course, Franklin the Turtle is the main character. He is voiced by Graeme Jokic.

Many of Franklin's friends from the first series are back. These include Bear, Fox, Rabbit, Beaver, Goose, and Snail. Franklin's baby sister, Harriet, is also in the show.

The series also introduces some new characters. Aunt T is a new character with a lively personality. Another new friend is Officer Rabbit, who is a grey female police officer.

What Are the Stories About?

The show often features special themes. You might see Franklin and his friends solving mysteries. They also take part in many fun Woodland events. There are lots of outdoor activities and adventures. Each episode usually has two different stories.

Where and When Did Franklin and Friends Air?

Franklin and Friends first appeared on Treehouse TV in Canada. This was on March 4, 2011.

Later, the show came to the United States. It started on Nickelodeon on February 13, 2012. Then, it also aired on Nick Jr. starting March 1, 2012.

You can still watch the series today! It returned to Nick Jr. on Pluto TV on May 1, 2019.

The series has two seasons in total. There are 52 episodes in these two seasons. Each episode is about 23 minutes long.

Season 1 Episodes (2011–2012)

The first season of Franklin and Friends aired from 2011 to 2012. It had 26 exciting episodes. Some of the adventures included "Franklin and the Gecko Games" and "Franklin and the Snow Princess." Franklin also went on a "Fishing Trip" and celebrated "Halloween."

Season 2 Episodes (2013)

The second season aired in 2013. It also had 26 episodes, bringing the total to 52. In this season, Franklin experienced "The First Snowfall Festival." He also helped solve "The Missing Mega Machine" mystery. Franklin even became a "Dinosaur Hunter" and an "Engineer."

Special Adventures

There were also two special episodes released in 2014. These were longer adventures for Franklin and his friends. They explored new places in "A Franklin and Friends Adventure: Polar Explorer" and "A Franklin and Friends Adventure: Deep Sea Voyage."
