Franklin and the Green Knight (also known as Franklin and the Green Knight: The Movie) was the very first movie about the beloved character Franklin the Turtle. It was released directly to video and DVD in the year 2000. This animated film has also been shown on TV channels like Noggin and Nick Jr. in the United States, and on Canada's Family Channel.
What's the Story?
Franklin the Turtle is super excited because his parents told him he's going to be a big brother! Spring is coming, and with it, a new baby. But after talking with his friends, Franklin starts to feel a little unsure about having a new sibling.
His mom reads him a famous story from their home, Woodland, called The Quest of the Green Knight. This story inspires Franklin. He decides to go on his own special adventure to try and end the really long winter. He hopes this will help bring spring and the new baby. His good friend Snail joins him as his helpful sidekick, or "squire."
