Frankston is a small town located in Anderson County, Texas, in the United States. In 2020, about 1,126 people lived there. This makes it one of the bigger communities in Anderson County.

History of Frankston
There are two main ideas about how Frankston got its name. The most popular story, which is also on the town's official website, says it was named after Frankie Miller. She was a young woman who gave land for the town's park in the center of town.
Another idea is that the town was named after Frank Miller. He owned the land when the railway was being built. His old house is still a historical building in the southeastern part of town. The state bought the land from him and named the town to honor him. The original main street in Frankston is still called Miller Street. Today, the center of town is where Highway 155 and Highway 175 meet.
Geography of Frankston
Frankston is in the northeastern part of Anderson County. It's located where two major roads, U.S. Highway 175 and State Highway 155, cross paths.
The town covers an area of about 6.4 square kilometers (or 2.49 square miles). All of this area is land.
The weather in Frankston usually has hot and humid summers. The winters are generally mild or cool. Frankston has what is called a humid subtropical climate. This means it gets a good amount of rain and has warm temperatures for most of the year.
