Freda Coleborn was born in India. She later moved to England for her education. Freda attended Leeds High School. After that, she studied art in London. She went to the famous Royal College of Art. In 1936, she became an Associate of the Royal College. This showed her great skill in art.

Freda Coleborn worked as an art teacher. She also created many amazing artworks. She was known for her designs in glass. Her embroidery work was also very special. Freda painted using both oils and gouache. She showed her art at important places. These included the Royal Academy in London. Her glass art was also shown at big international exhibitions. Even Queen Elizabeth II bought some of Freda's glass pieces.

In 1935, Freda married Edwin Keith Coleborn. He was also a talented artist. Edwin became the head of several art schools. The couple lived in a place called Downe in Bromley. They both worked on art for their local church. They designed beautiful stained glass windows for St Mary's.
