A fun vacation trip all the way to sunny Florida and back again! Get ready to read about all the amazing things they discover and the challenges they face on their journey.

The Animals' Big Trip to Florida

Freddy the pig is super smart, and he lives on the friendly Bean Farm. As winter approaches, the farm animals realize it's going to be really cold in Upstate New York. So, they come up with a brilliant idea: let's all go on vacation to warm Florida!

Starting the Journey

At first, Charles the rooster almost can't join the trip because his wife, Henrietta, is a bit grumpy about it. But the animals set off anyway. Soon, they meet a man and a boy who try to catch them. The clever animals manage to scare them away!

New Friends and Big Cities

Later, Charles and Henrietta finally join the group. They also run into the same man and boy again, but the animals scare them off once more. During this part of their journey, a friendly black dog named Jack, who belongs to the man, decides to join the animals' adventure!

The animal travelers then pass through Washington, D.C., which is the capital city of the United States. There, three important government officials called senators give them a special tour of the city. At the end of the tour, one senator even gives a speech saying how happy he was to have the animals visit!

Hidden Gold and Swamp Dangers

A few days later, as they continue towards Florida, a big thunderstorm forces the animals to hide in an empty log house. Inside, a group of swallows (small birds) tell them about a secret pile of gold nearby!

The animals find the gold, but it's too heavy to carry. Later, they meet two men who try to capture Hank, the old horse, and Mrs. Wiggins, a cow. Luckily, the animals escape! They finally arrive in Florida, but they get stuck on an island in a swamp (a wet, marshy area) because of some scary alligators.

The Journey Home

After escaping the alligators, the farm animals begin their long journey back north to the Bean Farm. On their way home, they have many more adventures. They even disguise themselves to get past the two men who tried to capture Hank and Mrs. Wiggins earlier.

They also help some townspeople by returning stolen property. And remember that pile of gold? They manage to take it with them this time, using an old carriage! The man and boy try to steal the gold again, but the animals are too smart for them and get it back. Finally, they arrive safely back at the Bean Farm. They show Mr. and Mrs. Bean all the gold, and everyone dances happily, celebrating their amazing trip!
