Freeport is a small village located in Barry County, in the state of Michigan, United States. In 2020, about 542 people lived there. Most of Freeport is in Irving Township, but a tiny part is in Carlton Township.

In 2010, the village of Freeport had 483 people. These people lived in 177 households, and 124 of these were families. The village had about 619 people per square mile. There were 200 homes in total.
Most of the people in Freeport were White (97.1%). A smaller number were African American (1.0%), Asian (0.2%), or from other races. Some people (1.2%) were from two or more races. About 3.3% of the population identified as Hispanic or Latino.
Many households (36.7%) had children under 18 living with them. More than half (52.5%) were married couples. About 11.9% of households had a female head without a husband. A small number (5.6%) had a male head without a wife. Nearly 30% of households were not families.
