Frygnowo is a small village located in northern Poland. It is part of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, found within Ostróda County and the Gmina Grunwald area. Frygnowo is about 22 kilometers (14 miles) south of the town of Ostróda. It is also about 41 kilometers (25 miles) southwest of Olsztyn, which is the main city of the region.

Frygnowo is a village with an important place in history. In 1914, the fields around Frygnowo became a major battlefield. This was during a very important event called the Battle of Tannenberg.
The Battle of Tannenberg
The Battle of Tannenberg was a big battle during World War I. Even though much of the fighting happened near Frygnowo, the battle was named after a nearby village called Tannenberg (Stębark). This was because the German commanders sent their final victory message from Tannenberg.
This battle was a significant event in military history. It showed how important strategy and planning were during wartime.

Reinhard Kollak's Life
